An independent guide to educational quests and games. It is not a school, an educational institution or an event organizer, and it has no connection to the former website on this domain.

Archive

The archive is a complete list of the guide's pages, from newest to oldest. Above the list is a tag filter: storyline, tasks, hosting or safety. Pick a tag, and only the matching pages will remain in the list, with each line leading to a live page. The list is short for now because new articles are added gradually and only once they're finished. Later on, you'll find standalone articles here about ciphers, quizzes without memorization, stations everyone can enjoy and ending a game without hurt feelings. At the bottom of the page, there's a note about the address left on the domain from the former site, which now opens our own article about the journey game.

The archive is meant to be a handy tool, not a report. If you only remember the topic, such as hints or safety at the venue, the tag filter will quickly take you to the right page.

— Editor's view

A page goes into the archive once it's completely ready: the steps have been reread for clarity, the sample ideas checked and the safety advice worded without ambiguity. There are no drafts or empty placeholders here. If a page is expanded over time, its address stays the same, so saved bookmarks keep working, and the date in the list shows the day the page first appeared.

The domain's archived address

This domain was once home to a different website. Co18Tula has no connection to it and does not restore any of its content. External links still point to the old address of a short post about a quest game, so that address now opens our own page on how to design a journey game with stations and run it yourself. The text was written from scratch, is available only in Russian and does not retell any of the earlier material. No other old addresses were carried over.

  • New

  • Sections

A map of the guide: story and route, tasks, hosts and rules, safety and inclusion.

  • Collections

Reading paths: a rainy-day quest at home, an outdoor journey game, a quiz for a big family.

  • General experience of people who host family and children's games

The advice in this guide draws on the shared experience of people who host family and children's games and is written in general terms. If your venue, camp or club has its own safety rules, they take priority over our suggestions: whenever the two differ, follow those rules and the decisions of the adults responsible for the players.
